Can I attend Jacobs Medical Academy if I don’t live in South Carolina?
Yes. We welcome students from other states. Your enrollment appointment can be completed by phone, and many of our programs are available online. Contact our admissions office to discuss your enrollment options.
Do you accept WIOA funding?
Yes. Jacobs Medical Academy is an approved training provider for certain South Carolina workforce programs. Please contact your local SC Works office to determine your eligibility and whether our programs are available through your local SC Works office.
Do I need a high school diploma or GED?
No, not to enroll. However, if you plan to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification exam, you must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED before testing.
Can I get a job if I’m not nationally certified?
Yes. Some employers hire graduates without national certification, while others require it. Employment requirements are determined by each employer.
Do you guarantee job placement?
No. Jacobs Medical Academy does not guarantee employment. Hiring decisions are made solely by employers, and applicants must successfully complete the employer’s hiring process, which may include interviews, background checks, drug screening, and other employment requirements.
Are your programs online or in person?
We offer both online and in-person training. Program availability varies by program. Please visit the program page for details.
How do I enroll?
Pay the $25 enrollment deposit and schedule your enrollment appointment online. During your appointment, we’ll review your program, discuss tuition and payment options, complete your enrollment paperwork, and answer any questions you may have. If you enroll, your $25 enrollment deposit will be applied toward your tuition.
Is the $25 enrollment deposit applied toward tuition?
Yes. The $25 enrollment deposit is applied toward your tuition if you enroll. If you do not attend your scheduled enrollment appointment, the deposit is non-refundable.
What payment options do you offer?
We offer payment in full and ACH payment plans. Financing options may also be available for qualified applicants.
When is my first payment due?
Your first payment due date depends on the payment option you choose and will be reviewed during your enrollment appointment.
Do you accept cash payments?
Yes. Cash payments are accepted and help students avoid online payment processing fees.
What is included in tuition?
Tuition includes the required course materials and supplies for your program. Items included vary by program.
Will I receive a Certificate of Completion?
Yes. Students who successfully complete all program requirements and satisfy their financial obligations will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Do you offer evening or weekend classes?
Yes. Select programs offer evening and weekend class options.
Do you accept transfer credits from other schools?
No. Jacobs Medical Academy does not accept transfer credits from other schools.
What should I bring to my enrollment appointment?
Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Additional documentation may be requested depending on your payment method or funding source.
Can I start right away?
In many cases, yes. Start dates depend on class availability and completion of the enrollment process.
