Dress Code

Students are expected to maintain a clean, professional appearance while participating in classes, labs, externships, tutoring, school meetings or appointments, final exams, graduation photos, graduation ceremonies, and other required school activities. This dress code applies to both online and in-person students whenever participating in an on-campus or in-person JMA activity.

• Official JMA Scrubs: Students must wear the official Jacobs Medical Academy scrub uniform designated for their program. Scrubs must be clean, properly fitted, and worn as required.

• Shoes: Closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes are required.

​

• Student ID Badge: Student identification badges must be worn and visible at all times while on campus. Students who arrive without their badge are not permitted to remain on campus and must leave or purchase a replacement badge for $15.

​

• Hair: Hair extending past the shoulders or hanging in the face must be pulled back during class, lab training, and other hands-on activities.

​

• Nails: Artificial nails are not permitted during hands-on lab training. Students who arrive with artificial nails will not be permitted to participate in the lab portion of class.

​

• Professional Appearance: Uniforms and overall appearance must remain clean, neat, and appropriate for a healthcare training environment.

​

Important: Students who arrive out of dress code may not participate in class, lab training, or other scheduled activities and may be required to leave until the dress code requirements are met.
