Admission Requirements

• Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.

• A high school diploma or GED is not required to enroll in the Phlebotomy Technician Program.

• Students who wish to sit for the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) National Certification Exam must meet all current NHA eligibility requirements, including applicable education requirements.

• Applicants under the age of 18 may be required to have a parent or legal guardian complete enrollment documents.

Program Completion

Students who meet Jacobs Medical Academy’s admission requirements may enroll and complete the Phlebotomy Technician Program regardless of whether they are currently eligible to sit for the NHA certification exam.

Successful completion of the program and eligibility for national certification are separate requirements. Completion of the Jacobs Medical Academy program does not automatically guarantee eligibility for NHA certification.
