ACCREDITATION STATEMENT

Jacobs Medical Academy is not institutionally accredited, as accreditation is not required by the State of South Carolina for the programs we offer. However, Jacobs Medical Academy partners with nationally recognized certification organizations and follows industry standards to ensure students receive quality education and hands-on training.

Jacobs Medical Academy offers the following workforce training programs:

• Phlebotomy Technician

• Medical Administrative Assistant

• Medical Billing and Coding

• Pharmacy Technician

Our programs are designed to prepare students for national certification examinations and entry-level employment opportunities in the healthcare field.

Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Administrative Assistant, and Medical Billing and Coding programs are aligned with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), an NCCA-accredited national certification organization. Upon successful completion of training and passing the applicable certification exam, students become nationally certified and eligible for employment nationwide.

The Pharmacy Technician Program prepares students to sit for a national certification examination administered through PSI testing services. Upon passing the national certification exam, graduates become eligible for employment as pharmacy technicians.

By law, there is no state or federal requirement that healthcare workforce training programs be a specific number of weeks in length. Jacobs Medical Academy offers accelerated, skills-based training programs designed to efficiently prepare students for certification and employment. Prior to approval, program curriculum, instructional standards, and clock hours are reviewed to ensure compliance with applicable state requirements.

Jacobs Medical Academy programs are workforce training certification programs and are not degree programs. Jacobs Medical Academy does not offer transferable academic college credits. These programs are designed to prepare students for direct entry into the workforce through competency-based training and hands-on skills development.
