Grant Funding Now Available:

Jacobs Medical Academy is proud to be an Eligible Training Provider through Worklinks, Catawba Works, Greenville Works and Upstate Works. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE PASSAGE.

We offer qualified residents of Asheville, Oconee, Pickens, Greenville, Spartanburg, Union, Cherokee, and Catawba counties the opportunity to enroll in our Phlebotomy Program at no cost, if eligible through WIOA-funded tuition assistance.

Locations for each office are listed at the end of the steps provided. For Upstate Works (Spartanburg, Gaffney & Union), if your branch runs out of funding, please contact the Spartanburg Office.

If you experience any trouble completing your eligibility steps, please visit your local SC Works office—they have computers and staff available to assist you.

Please note, this is not an overnight process as it could take months for them to get to you.

You can also start the process from home. Just follow the steps below to get started:

This is a federal funding program, so while it requires a few steps, the outcome can be rewarding—your tuition could be fully covered!

To begin the process, follow the 3 steps below:

🔹 STEP 1: Create Your SC Works Account

Go to: Website below

Click “Sign In” at the top right.

If you do not have an account, SC Works cannot enroll you—this is mandatory.

👉 If you need help creating an account, please visit your local SC Works office.

🔹 STEP 2: Register for a WIOA Orientation

Go to: Website Below

Scroll down and click “Upcoming Workshops,” then click “VIEW ALL.”

Select “Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Information Session.”

Fill out all required fields completely.

🔹 STEP 3: Choose Your Orientation Date

Click “View All” under the smiley face icon to see the calendar of available sessions.

Select a date and write it down (reminders are not sent).

After submitting, you’ll receive a webinar link by email within 5 minutes.

🖥️ On your selected date, join 15 minutes early via the link.

You may be asked to download Microsoft Teams.

The orientation lasts 30 minutes to 1 hour.

After the Webinar:

A caseworker will contact you within 3–7 business days by phone or email to walk you through the next steps.
